Dear Sirs,
I Have an inquiry regarding the copyright and selling of a collection of old radio shows.
I have a 'home made' collection of the following shows:
Men From The Ministry (1962)
The Goon Show (1951)
And the 'Dads Army Radio Show'
The Shows are all home made Radio Recordings that have now been converted from Cassette Tape to mp3 and then cleaned up with mp3-clean-up-software.
Many of these episodes can Not be found anywere! (i beleave them to be lost!)
I Would like to make a website, selling these home made collections, from my house.
However! i was wondering if these old shows are still copy protected? (even though they are 'radio recordings' from like back in the 1960s)
And if the BBC do have the rights to my collection, could i pay the BBC a royalty??
There are already websites on the net providing a similar service. however i would just like to check with you first, or even pay the BBC a royalty and know i'm not braking any law etc.
Thank you for your time with this matter. Any information regarding this subject will be greatly appreciated.
